Anishnaabe Reference Library

We currently have a collection of over 1000 resources dealing specifically with the Anishnaabe history, culture, and language. This library also contains audio and video stations, computer stations, and resources in the assistance of developing language resource material. Located upstairs from Wikwemikong Heritage Organization Office.

Language Resources

The Wikwemikong Heritage Organization has been seeking ways to effectively develop resource material for individuals who are wanting to enhance their Ojibway/Odawa language skills. In order to better serve the needs of these individuals, the Wikwemikong Heritage Organization Committee has formed a sub-committee now known as the Naagdawendaadaa Anishinaabemowin Committee. This committee consists of band members committed to creating materials to keep our language strong.

Workshops and Teachings

The Wikwemikong Heritage Organization offers our community members workshops and teachings in four unique categories; Cultural Programming, Historical Programming, Traditional Arts Programming and Anishinaabe Language Programming.
